What do you do in practice?
One part of our work, for example, is the collection and processing of swarm data. This is done in a so-called traffic dispatcher. Vehicles periodically transmit their position and certain sensor data there, from which predictions, such as traffic jam information, are then generated. By connecting the vehicles to each other, i.e. the Car2Car communication, the driver can be given the best possible predictions thanks to the traffic dispatcher. These are much more accurate than previously available. One can imagine it as if cars driving in front would warn cars driving behind on the same route in real time. Ideally, this feels completely natural and intuitive to the driver, but the underlying development is very complex. Well, if it were easy, everyone would do it.
